Originally recorded in 1973 via TEAC stereo tape recorder. Besides improvised vocalizations by Jane Lamar-Spicka, sounds were created using an off-brand, Wurlitizer-like electronic piano, 2 conga drums, and swishing paper across the top of the keyboard.
In 2002, besides the original tape being sonically enhanced, special effect sounds were added to the mix.
The inspiration comes from "The Weapon Shop," a story by science fiction author A. E. van Vogt, that was developed later into a full novel.
